Wow. What an image of the 'abomination' rising out of the ground and the axe and.... ggah. I swear I won't be able to sleep tonight . Another excellent story, Lee.

So many good entries for the resurrection contest- how in the world is Lori and Bob going to choose? I don't think I could.

Excellent. Love the quick backstory, so nicely woven in, and the ending very satisfying. You're on to something big.

Lee, that's got to be the best I've read yet. Brilliant pace, a creeping gothic atmosphere and an almost poetic delivery.

I loved "... the blood from her small throat busily turning magnolias into roses" Beautiful dark imagery.

Fantastic piece. Congrats.

Now THAT is how you spin a good one.

You set that one up perfectly, then spiked the ball ... except replace "ball" with "shattered brain cage".

Once you mentioned the garden, I had my suspicions, but you didn't give much time for pondering, and the final lines were note-perfect.

Lee is fast becoming one of those writers that - as soon as I see he has a new story out - I just have to read it. And I'm glad I did. Viceral enjoyment at its best.
