With fire in his eyes, Todd stormed into Summer Stepford’s office. His thin, shaved face sweated furiously and he held a shaky hand over his stomach.
“Look, Todd,” she said, trying not to sound pissed-off. No one charged into her office without an appointment! “Before you say a word, let me get something straight. I was plastered the other night when we had sex and that’s all it was … just sex, and nothing more! I don’t wanna go out for coffee. I don’t wanna go to the movies, and I sure-as-hell don’t wanna meet your parents. I just wanted to fuck, and that’s all we did!”
Their eyes bored into each other’s as a dead silence hung in the air.
This is why I hate one-night stands, Summer thought, crossing her arms. It’s not because of the lack of an emotional connection. It’s because I don’t want some fidgety geek, like Todd Waxen falling in love with me. She sneered at Todd. “You seem like a nice-guy,” she began, “but you’re not my type. It’s nothing personal. I’m just not ready for a relationship.”
“You’re not my type, either!” Todd snapped back. Summer snickered. She wasn’t a supermodel, but she knew that she was the best that Todd Waxen had ever fucked. He cringed in pain, muttering,“I just came in here to tell you that I might’ve given you something the other night.”
“You mean an STD?”
“I don’t think so,” Todd replied, clutching his groin.
“Motherfucker, you better not have given me something!” Summer scowled, thinking back to last Friday night.
***
It’d been the annual office party. Summer went, but only because she knew Josh Starver was going to be there. He was a handsome man that had daring brown eyes and boyish charm. Summer had been eyeing for a while. However, his eyes liked Camilla, the new, long-legged temp with straight blond hair and high, perky breasts.
Summer made small talk with Josh, but when Camilla came around … Summer disappeared. She eased her bitterness with several beers and many Jell-O-Shots. When Todd gave her a smile, she gave him a tour of her nice, corner office. He was impressed. That smile never left his face until Summer asked him if he wanted to fuck. His face became red and bashful; he mumbled that he didn’t have any protection. But when she slung her clothes off and bent-over the desk. Todd was ready to go.

“I don’t think it’s an STD or anything like that,” Todd muttered. “I think it’s something else, something different. I think it’s something that my mother told me about.”
“Oh, great,” Summer bellowed, standing up. “I fucked a mamma’s boy!”
Todd’s eyes tightened. “Listen, bitch,” hes pat, “my mother told me that if I ever had sex with a useless whore, then demon snakes would came out of my … thingy.”
“It’s called a dick, you mamma’s boy. And she’s full of shit too. There’s no such thing as demon snakes.”
“Then what the hell is this?” Todd yanked hispants down. His manhood was swollen, discolored and had something protruding from the urethra.
Summer had not seen his manhood the other night, only felt it as he entered her, but she knew that it had not been that big. “That’s nasty looking,” she gasped.
“Ya think?”
“Sorry, but what do you want me to say?”
“I don’t know,” he cried. He looked away timidly. “I was wondering, though, if you were having any problems.”
Summer raised her evenly, trimmed eyebrows. “No! I don’t have any snakelike-thingies coming out of me!” She pointed at the door. “Now go to the doctor, and get that thing checked out and you better pray that you didn’t give me some weird fucking disease!”
Todd bent over, braced himself against a chair and vomited little red snakes with black eyes all over the floor. They slithered around, then up his gangly body. He shrieked as the snakes began to bite him.
“Fuck this!” Summer screamed and ran out of the office, slamming the door behind her. She hurried herself to the nearest person,J osh Starver, who was chatting with Camilla. Summer told them everything. The crush she had on him. The party, getting drunk, the one-night stand with Todd Waxen, Camilla crinkled her nose at that, and the thing that protruded from Todd’s dick. The demon snakes.
“Get help!” Summer screamed.
“Summer,” said Josh assuredly, “there’s no such thing as demon snakes.”
Summer rebuffed, “But there’s something wrong with…” Her stomach twisted, it felt like someone, or something, had tied it up in a hundreds knots. She clutched at it with her hand, began hacking and then threw up an enormous pile of little red snakes. Their black eyes were glassy and filled with a need for flesh. The snakes circled a panicking Summer and then advanced on her.
Josh and Camilla watched in horror as the snakes bit huge chunks of meat out ofS ummer. Slithering in-and-out of the holes they’d created, the snakes hissed at Josh and Camilla as they tried to help Summer. The whole attack lasted four minutes and once the snakes were done with Summer, they slithered down the hallway quickly.
Josh yanked up the phone, screeched into the receiver for a medic, and then collapsed in a chair. Placing a gentle hand on his shoulder, Camilla shook her head sadly, and said, “Now do you see why I hate one-night stands?”
